Beannachtai Bealtaine!!!

Good Bealtaine to all

Bealtaine is one of eight solar Sabbats. It has long been celebrated with varied feasts and rituals and is one festival among many worldwide which recognizes this time of year. The name means "Fire of Bel". As spring turns into summer, and the plant and animal world blossom and reproduce, a hopeful feeling emerged among the ancients. In old Celtic traditions, it was a time of of unabashed sexual freedom. Handfastings of a year and a day could be undertaken at this time. Given knowledge of Celtic sexuality, it is speculated by some that erotic expression at Beltaine may also have included bondings not simply seen as "heterosexual" today.

Belenos (Bel, Belenus, Belinos) is one of the most ancient and widely worshiped of the Celtic deities and was generally associated with pastoralism, virilism and fertility. He is celebrated at the great fire festival, Beltaine (Beltane, Beltine) head on May 1 where his coronation is observed. He heralds the beginning of warmer weather, the blossoming of flora, birth of fauna, love and erotic expression and brings on an exuberant mood among his celebrants.

It was a festival involving fire and its associated puritive qualities seen in many aspects and elements of the observation often leading people of later times to identify Bel as a solar deity. In the past, young people would spend the entire night in the woods “A-Maying,” and then dance around the phallic Maypole the next morning. Older married couples were allowed to remove their wedding rings (and the restrictions they imply) for this one night. May morning is a magickal time for wild water - dew (from Hawthorn trees particularly), flowing streams and springs) may be collected and used to bathe in for beauty or to drink for health. The May pole was a focal point of the old village rituals. Many people would rise at the first light of dawn to go outdoors and gather flowers and branches to decorate their homes. People traditionally would braid flowers into their hair. Men and women alike would decorate their often scantily clad bodies.
Beltaine marks the return of vitality, virility, fertility and passion and in many ways is a time representative of the male aspect - the God. Pagan traditions say that Beltaine recognizes the emergence of the young God into manhood. Stirred by the energies at work in nature, he desires the Goddess. They fall in love, lie among the grasses and blossoms - and unite. The Goddess becomes pregnant of the God and to celebrate, a wedding feast was prepared. Modern interpretations may see it as a time for both the male and female aspect within each person to be celebrated and joined in unity…

New Chapter for The Brotherhood

About a year ago, the Circle of Hernes stopped recruiting and ended it's time as a group of men to join in brotherhood. After taking a year off, I'm happy to be opening it back up and looking for new guys who'd like to form the new Brotherhood. With the loss of one of my fellow organizers, I will also be looking for other group leaders to help with coordination and planning. Some of the old rituals we used to do are linked below, and many thanks to Cernunnos Circle for such amazing inspiration, and good times. All interested men in the Los Angeles/SoCal area, send me an email and I will discuss with you further... Many thanks from the Circle Leader, Trent.

Sacred Stimulation

Sacred Stimulation: Spreagadh Cernunnos

Courtesy of http://cernunnoscircle.blogspot.com

The ceremony called the "Stimulation Of Cernunnos" or "Spreagadh Cernunnos" is used as an initiation or gifting event. It may also be called "Cernunnos Stimulatos". Shared here is the physical part of the ceremony which may be performed in addition to any formal ritual.

The ceremony is facilitated by the Spreagadh (Stim) Master. The initiate is placed spread on a suspension (such as a sling) which when fixed represents man’s desired place in the universe - centered in balance. The use of this device also is intended to allow full access to the initiates body as needed to perform the physical parts of the ceremony. His placement may require light restraints to assist with secure positioning. Members of the circle (10 brothers are required) are positioned at the initiates erogenous centers thusly:

One at each of his hands
One at his mouth
One at each of his nipples
One at his penis
One at his testicles/scrotum
One at his anus
One at each of his feet

*Those at his hands may either orally stimulate them or offer their penises to his hands for stroking or both alternately
*The one at his mouth stimulates it orally/manually/other
*Those at his nipples stimulate them orally/manually
*There are three brethren at the center of his body symbolizing the triad in form and are responsible for the highest stimulation. The Master is located at his penis. The next two most experienced are located one on his scrotum and one at his anus.
- the penis is stimulated orally/manually
- the testicles/scrotum are stimulated orally/manually
- the anus is stimulated orally/manually
*Those at his feet stimulate them orally/manually

Once commenced, all brethren proceed to stimulate the seeker simultaneously building in intensity over an extended period. The Circle's efforts are intended to ultimately bring the initiates arousal to such a ‘nirvanal’ state as to produce a level of orgasm so deep, the initiate will be bonded uniquely to the brethren who have facilitated this great gift him - the orgasm of Cernunnos. The intent is to "edge" him to an almost “unbearable” point thus symbolically forcing him to endure then reach “petit morte” (as it were) thus being reborn through orgasm in Cernunnos.

Upon the initiate's orgasm, The Master receives his semen in mouth then orally feeds it to each of the brethren of the circle thereby nourishing them all with his seed. It is desired that each of the brethren then ingest the initiate’s semen thereby eternally “seed bonding’ them with the new brother wherein his essence becomes a part of them.

For circles that cannot or do not support ingestion the Master may capture the semen in his left hand. He should smell it to show respect for its potency, then with his middle left finger mark his face with the it. He then proceeds to present the semen to the brethren one by one who smell it and are then marked in the same fashion by the Master thereby seeding them with the essence of the new brother and thus that of Cernunnos...

Solitary Celebration: Simple Male Ritual For "Litt...

Solitary Celebration: Simple Male Ritual For "Little Yule"

Courtesy of http://cernunnoscircle.blogspot.com

This is a solitary experience recognizing "Little Yule" - the sharing of light that marks the beginning of the Yule season. The tradition of putting candles in windows to welcome holiday travelers comes from this time. However, this celebration enables men to bring light forth from the erotic core of themselves, affording Cernunnos' gifts of pleasure, peace and virility in preparation for a happy Yule...

Materials Needed:
* Dirt from the land you live on (to represent the Earth)
* A candle (bright yellow to represent fire, and the sun)
* Flask of water (to represent the liquid of life)
* Incense (to represent air. Any scent you feel is appropriate will do but one that is of the season is desired)
* A small evergreen branch to identify the season and symbolize the eternal
* A beautiful, special wooden bowl
* A small flask of pure, mineral oil
* A small offering to the Reborn Cernunnos - a piece of cloth made from natural fiber - cotton, wool, linen, silk - which has been previously stained/marked with your semen
* A quiet ritual space where you will not be disturbed

Additional materials, such as pinecones, antlers, pieces of leather, cockrings, an article of clothing marked with your genital scent (your crotch sweat - full of pheromones) to identify you, flowers, phallic symbols, holly, etc. are to be added to the ritual space to create a composite seasonal and erotic tableau. It is up to the individual to choose items which are special or significant. Some brothers may have many things around them, that have special meaning, but this is meant to be a very, simple ritual.

The elements and materials are to be set forth on a small table, a tree stump (a good choice) or the ground. Cover the area with a cloth that you only use for ritual to help put you in the right frame of mind. It should be one that also has been stained and consecrated with semen (yours, that of brethren or both) - reinforcing the presence of life as well as marking and scenting the space with the aroma and essence of man seed. Place on your surface the Earth element in the North, the Air in the East, the Fire in the South and the Water in the East. Try to place them so that you can reach each of them easily from one position. Ceremoniously and conciously disrobe baring your body before the space and elements then begin as so...

Light the Fire candle and meditate on what Yule means to you.

After meditating, pick up the bowl of Dirt and say, “I am of this Earth, forever linked to the Gods.” Draw a circle pierced by an arrow pointing upward in the dirt. Replace.

Next pick up the Incense, with it say, “This is the breath of the Gods, which gives me life.” Replace.

Picking up the candle, say, “This is the Flame that warms our heart, just as the love of Cernunnos warms our souls.” Replace.

Pick up the Water and say, “This the ever-changing waters that nourishes life, without which we would not be.” Replace.

Pick up the gift and say "This is the gift of my essence by which promise is made to receive your strength and go forth in peace".

Chant:O cum of the winter night and fill our souls with dreams of light
O cum through the falling snow and bring us your fertile seed for us to know
O cum for the sleeping man and bring him new life and lust from Summerland
I stand between The Light and Dark waiting for thy blessed spunk - the newborn spark

Next take the evergreen branch and rub it against your increasingly aroused penis and on/against your testicles/scrotum. Next, rub, massage, prime your penis and testicles with the mineral oil to full, maximum erection - working to assure you become as intensely hard as possible. Proceed forth into a full masturbation session - in whatever is your special way and for as long as you wish to fully express yourself including extended "edging/priming" if that is your desire or way all the time using the oil. As you masturbate during your session, think on the rebirth, and the lengthening days that follow the Winter Solstice and the importance of the churning semen in your testicles (which you are preparing to spill) as the seed of Cernunnos. During your session, taste your pre-cum - the delicious nectar-gift - at least once, more as possible. Say from your heart what is your desire at this time. Take as long and employ whatever methods you choose to assure that you achieve a maximum-level orgasm. Upon ejaculation, capture your semen working (depending on how you shoot) to get as much as possible into the special wooden bowl.

Next, take the offering you are giving - the bowl filled with your cum - up in your hands, hold it to the sky and say, “This is my gift to you, for you have given many gifts to me. This symbolizes my pledge to you.” Then hold the offering to the ground and say "I offer my fresh seed to warm the way for thee, feeding thy rebirth as you fill me with strength and desire".

Now for the closing of your ritual. Take up the Earth again, saying, “Thank you for watching over my rite.” Pour the dirt back onto the ground. Say the "thank you" for each of the elements. Pour the water out onto the ground as well. Take the gift, set it afire with the candle and let it burn to completion on the ground. Take your semen offering, first drinking a portion of it from the bowl re-nourishing yourself with Cernunnos' seed and then pour the remainder on the soil (preferably surrounding a favored tree or plant near the roots). Place the incense over the whole offering, and leave it to burn itself out. Take the candle and place in a window. Let it burn all the way out. (Be safe.)

Spend the rest of your time aware of the significance of the day. This ritual represents a living, vibrant way, always growing and expanding. Blessed Be...

Seven Orgasms For Saturnalia: Daily Erotic Observa...

Seven Orgasms For Saturnalia: Daily Erotic Observations

Courtesy of http://cernunnoscircle.blogspot.com

These are solitary observations recognizing each of the seven days (for the seven rings) of Saturnalia. The tradition of experiencing that which may not be common is inherent in the observation of this festival time. These self-explorations attempt to bring men awareness of all their erotic centers. Through masturbation, the solo-sexual focus is different for each day beginning on December 17 and running through December 23.

Bathe and groom before starting each session. Do not use items such as deodorant, grooming or toiletry items, etc. at this time..

Say before each session:

Behold the gifts of Saturn!
Behold how pleasure can transform,
And make us see how our blessed parts,
May produce the fruit that satisfies our hearts,
I come now to taste the fragrant fruit...

Behold the gifts of Saturn!
I partake of each pleasure first myself, then for others,
To share my special gifts with my mates and brothers,
For that's the way of Saturn's Golden Age,
It changes ways and frees the slave from the cage,

Let me enjoy thy pleasure till my desire is slaked.
I promise to honor thee with the seed my lust maked,
Behold the gifts of Saturn!

Your self stimulation and masturbation session should focus on the particular as a part of the whole. Stretch your usual routine to relish and "worship" each body part - exploring and challenging yourself. Proceed forth into a full masturbation session for as long as you wish to fully express yourself but focusing on the particular erogenous area for that day. Take as long and employ whatever methods you choose to achieve the self awareness necessary to reach a powerful orgasm.

The 7-day sequence is as follows:

Dec 17: Mouth - Wash mouth assuring it is clean. Rub, probe, taste, bite and otherwise
stimulate your mouth during masturbation. Mark mouth with semen upon ejaculation - tasting and swallowing as desired - kiss the door of your abode as a gift then leave remainder untouched on mouth as long as possible afterwards.

Dec 18: Hands - Manicure and groom. Massage, lick, suck fingers, include specific attention and concentration on hands - taking note of their look, strength, muscles, tendons and allure while stroking your penis - during masturbation. After ejaculation completely cover hands by coating with semen - mark an important wall in your abode with a semen handprint as a gift - leave semen untouched remaining on your hands to dry as long as possible afterwards.

Dec 19: Feet - Pedicure and groom. Massage, lick, suck, include foot worship/adoration focusing on - their look, strength, smell, muscles, tendons, shape, size, allure - during masturbation. After ejaculation completely cover feet with semen - leave a semen-coated footprint on the floor of your abode - leave semen untouched remaining on your feet to dry afterwards.

Dec 20: Nipples - Massage, stimulate (mechanically or with devices if desired) - focusing on their look, texture, color, sensation - including full nipple play during masturbation. After ejaculation coat nipples completely by massaging them completely with semen - leave semen untouched on your nipples to dry afterwards.

Dec 21: Anus -(the 21st is Solstice/Yule) Groom and wash (as customary and shave if desired) respecting the enlightenment that is received from within the democratic power of the anus - the core of man. Massage, probe the rings, dildo or manually stimulate anus fully focusing on its warmth, sensitivity, pleasure-giving power - during masturbation. After ejaculation coat anus and surrounding perineal area with semen including probing it inside your hole - leave semen untouched in and on your anus to dry afterwards.

Dec 22: Testicles - Groom (shave if desired). Massage, rub, stretch, tease - focusing on their unique shape, sensitivity, semen-filled potential (visualize the semen churning inside) - and otherwise fully stimulate during masturbation. After ejaculation coat scrotum completely with semen - leave semen untouched on your scrotum to dry afterwards.

Dec 23: Penis - Groom (trim hair if desired). Rub, massage and provide specific or special attention and intense stimulation to your penis - focus on its hardness, veins, throbbing. Pay special attention to your glans and meatus - during session. Employ different methods or devices. After ejaculation coat penis with semen completely glans to base - leave semen untouched on your penis to dry afterwards .

Upon completion of each session the celebrant says:

"May we always know thy pleasure to share."
"For we always hunger for more!"
"Bona Saturnalia!"
It is desired to proceed through the rest of each day or night with your semen remaining on your person as described. The smell of dried semen is a tremendous aphrodisiac to many men. Go to work with the remains of your cum on your chest or feet. Go out to the pub with its essence remaining on your hands and lips or emanating from your crotch. Its pheromones should permeate you radiating outward for others to sense. If so and others are drawn to you - greet all cummers with "Bona Saturnalia!"...

Seed Of The Oak King: Winter Solstice/Yule Group C...

Seed Of The Oak King: Winter Solstice/Yule Group Ceremony

Courtesy of http://cernunnoscircle.blogspot.com

Yule is the time of the Winter Solstice. It's a time to say goodbye to the old, and welcome the new. As the sun returns to the earth, life begins once more -- it's a time to bid the Holly King farewell, and invite the Oak King - and the strength of his seed - back into our lives.

The Circle of Men celebrates Yuletide and the gathering is held around an evergreen tree - that has been potentially decorated with phallic symbols and emblems of the season. It represents continuity, rebirth and virility and should be placed near the north side of your altar. Cover the altar with a brown or black leather altar cloth if possible and in the center place three white candles in individual candleholders, a wooden ceremonial bowl and a wreath/crown headdress made of oak leaves.

The oldest male present should take on the role of Yule Priest to lead the ceremony. In our setting he wears a green robe. From the other men of the Circle - someone previously elected by brethren - typically a younger man who may be rewarded with special honor by the group - (can be a "twink-type" male of your circle ) should represent the aspect of the Oak King. A maturer man will represent the Father (can be a "bear-type" male of your circle) and a third (can be a "daddy-type" male of your circle) older man the Holly King.

The Oak King wears a white or cream (semen) colored robe. He stands to the east. The Father wears a red robe and stands to the south. The Holly King dresses in a black robe with a holly wreath crown taking his place to the west of the altar. Each holds one of the three white candles.

If you normally cast a circle, do so now. The Yule Priest then says:

It is the season of the Holly King, the time of the winter.
Tonight we celebrate the festival of the winter solstice,
the rebirth of the Sun, and the return of light to the Earth.
As the Wheel of the Year turns once more,
we honor the eternal cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth.

The Holly King's candle is lit by the Yule Priest. He then turns to the Father and lights the Father's candle. Finally, the Father lights the candle held by the Oak King. The Yule Priest then says:

O Holly King, the Wheel has turned once more.
It is time for the Oak one to claim what is now his.
As you lie down for the winter, he is born once again.

The Father removes the holly wreath headdress from the Holly King's head and hands it to the Yule Priest. The Priest places it at the altar where it takes the place of the oak leaf headdress which is then given to the Father who then places it on the Oak King's head while the Holly King says:

The days will now get longer, now the Sun has returned.
My season has ended, yet the season of the Oak Lord begins.
Listen to the wisdom of those who have come before you,
and yet be wise enough to make your own way.

The Oak King then says:

Now at the depth of winter is the waning of the year over, and the reign of the Holly King is finished. The sun is reborn, and the waxing year begins anew. My brother - the Holly King - is now dead and has left us to rest in Caer Arianrhod, the Castle of the Silver Wheel, until the Summer Solstice when he shall return to rule again. We thank him for the wisdom of his time, and for seeing the season through to its end. You have stepped aside that the new season may begin, and for this we give you honor. May the Wheel of the Year continue to turn, the seasons continue to change, and the sun always be with us. So Mote It Be!

The Yule Master once again takes over and says:

All changes as new life is born,
and the dead fades away, back into the earth.
The Wheel of the Year turns once more,
ever changing, and yet always constant,
as the cycle continues once more.
O Great One of Winter, cast your eyes upon us this night,
as the solstice approaches.
Grant us love, wisdom, strength, and peace,
and blessings upon the Earth.

At this time, the Oak King disrobes standing before the Circle. The Yule Priest invites the brothers of the Circle to come forth and lovingly stroke the Oak King's penis and testicles one by one urging him to full erection. While this is occuring, the Holly King and Father disrobe. Upon his complete arousal - the Holly King and Father stimulate the Oak King's penis and testicles masturbating and fellating him until he indicates he is reaching orgasm. The Yule Priest comes forward and captures the Oak King's semen upon ejaculation in the ceremonial wooden bowl as an offering. The Yule Priest places the bowl of the Oak King's semen at the altar and instructs others to come forth and leave any offerings to be placed as well. If the ritual is done outdoors, the semen-filled wooden bowl and other offerings may be put in a fire. The Yule Priest concludes the rite by saying:

We make these offerings tonight,
to show our love to you, Great One.
Please accept our gifts, and know that
we are entering this new season with joy in our hearts
and thy gift of virile strength in our loins.

All brethren should take a few moments to meditate upon the time of the season. Noting that although winter is here, fertile seed, like the Oak King, is ready to cum forth once again...

Seed Celebration: La Fête de Semances Yule

Seed Celebration: La Fête de Semances Yule

Courtesy of http://cernunnoscircle.blogspot.com

The Circle of Men celebrates Yuletide with a three part event called "La Fête de Semances Yule". The gathering is held around an evergreen tree - "The Sapin de Semances or Seed Tree" - that has been decorated with phallic symbols/ornaments (and sexual paraphenalia). It is a centerpiece of the celebration representing continuity, rebirth and virility.

Upon arrival each brother presents as their gift - a lambskin (condom) full of semen. The condoms were sent to each brother by invitation. The celebrants have been asked to fill their lambskin condom with as much semen as possible and tie it off with a red ribbon (provided) before bringing it to the celebration.

At the gathering - held actually on Yule - the lambskins are collected by the head celebrant (Host) known as the "Yule Master". After all have disrobed and greeted each other - a ceremonial greeting toast is given -

"Come brethren, come partake of that which is best...
Please Yule Lord feed us thy fertile strength at our happy fest"...
All share in a fruited Wassail which has as one of its key ingredients the Yule Master's urine (thus Piss Ale or Pissail). Given that urine is full pheremones, the drinking of the Master's urine symbolically binds the circle to him (a theme). The circle says:

"Pissail! pissail! drank it deep each fellow,
Our toast, it is lusty and our ale, it is yellow;
Our bowl it is made of ancient liquids three;
Give us rich drink, so we may thus seed for thee"...

Then each of the brother’s full lambskins are ceremoniously placed on the tree. In addition to the ornaments, the tree has also been hung with other full condoms that the Master has produced for the occasion. In the firelight of the Yule Log - the skins/condoms dangle heavily from the tree lasciviously glowing all luminous and pearlescent like intriguing, rubberesque drops. The men chant:

"O Seed tree, O Seed tree;
We've come to eat of thee;
To bear and to bow seed enow;
Mouths full, Bellies full,
Make us strong and lustful;
Life giving power full
Feed us from thy rich bounty"...

With this (and while the pissail is flowing) - the ‘Seed Tree’ ceremony begins. Each brother is called upon one at a time, to pick a lambskin from the tree - one of the ones brought by another of the brethren (red ribboned). The brother then opens the skin relishes the beauty and bounty of the seed/gift/semen inside - its fragrant (lust inducing) smell, fullness, thickness, lustrous quality, etc. - thereby paying compliment to the brother from which it issued. He is then given the ceremonial goblet into which the skin is emptied. The brother then drinks the semen from the Yule goblet. This increasingly arousing scenario is repeated through the circle with each brother until all the gifted skins are gone from the tree and each man has received the seed of another - although not knowing whose. This verse is then said by the group:

"Here's to thee, o Seed Tree,
That feeds well, that nourishes energy.
You've sated our thirst and
Made our bellies full,
Made us soul-strong and lust full,
An' all from thee...
O' sweet Seed Tree...
Hurrah! Hurrah"!...

In the next step all the men (who are by now clearly stimulated) are called upon to masturbate freely - themselves and each brother to each other - in earnest while the Yule Master brings forth the "Buche De Semances Yule". He then proceeds to remove the remaining condoms from the tree. The brothers in full arousal circle the table continuing to prime their penises. The Master ceremoniously opens each condom and one by one douses the Buche (which is made of absorbant sponge cake) with load after load after load of semen. As the Master completes the dousing (icing the yule cake, as it were) the brethren begin to reach climax and as they do, each moves forward to add his fresh semen to the increasingly soaked Buche. After all brothers have seeded the Yule cake (it should be completely coated) the circle chants:

"O Cernunnos - Hail to Thee
Reborn at Yule to set us free,
We give freely our seed of Man.
That ye may breed anew the land
Fill our loins with the eternal lust of thee
Hail Cernunnos - Blessed Be"...
The Buche de Semances Yule is cut and served to the brethren. Any remaining is shared as no seed is to be wasted.

Now in the spirit of celebratory abandon (on the longest night of the year) the brothers proceed to engage with each other sexually in Orgy. Saturnalia (associated with Yule) later came to actually mean orgy. The word "orgy" of course comes from the Greek "orgia" meaning "secret worship or veneration". The Yule Orgy is a joyous, long-night mingling of the brethren facilitated in what is the finale or climax of the event. The group coupling has no formal guidelines except respect of safety and mutual consent. In the group, the brothers are asked to explore role reversal in some way that means something to them and from which something can be learned i.e. - "top" becomes "bottom", "dom" becomes "sub", "foot master" becomes "foot slave", etc. This premise evokes Saturnalia from which some Yule traditions stim where slaves became masters for a day and vice versa. The only other stipulation is that each man strives to bring as much 'peace-giving' pleasure as possible to his fellows in the spirit of self-giving inherent in the way of Yule. The group coupling represents the ancient element of calling forth lust at Yule “for a fertile and peaceful season".

The premise of the “Seed Tree/Sapin de Semances” and “Yule Log of Sperm/Buche de Semances Yule” serves not only to bond the brotherhood of the circle but to invoke virility, manly prowess, power and the masculine divine for the coming year. The seed of each man strengthens and empowers his brothers. Through the taking of it, the circle becomes unified. The life-giving power of semen becomes the gift of Yule. By sharing it, the men become one with each other. Each brother's essence becomes a part of the others and the bond is whole...

With Wine & Seed: Male New Year's Rite Celebrates ...

With Wine & Seed: Male New Year's Rite Celebrates Dionysus' Rebirth

Courtesy of http://cernunnoscircle.blogspot.com
Year's end (Gregorian Calendar) is a time for many to welcome and embolden the new. Although other traditions have celebrated this marker prior to or differently from January 1st - the modern calendar start of the New Year is a time after the Winter Solstice believed to correlate with the Dionysian Mysteries. This festival coincided with the "clearing of the wine", a final stage in the fermentation process occurring in the first cold snap after the Solstice, when it was declared Dionysus was reborn - vital and virile. This group design is a meaningful observation of this time celebrating fermented wine and ripe seed in a bacchanal of bonding & potency...

"In intoxication, physical or spiritual, the participant recovers an intensity of feeling which prudence had destroyed; he finds the world full of delight and beauty, and his imagination is suddenly liberated from the prison of everyday preoccupations. The Bacchic ritual produced what was called 'enthusiasm', which means etymologically having the god enter the worshipper, who believed that he became one with the god." (Bertrand Russell, A History of Western Philosophy).

Have the following items on site prior to starting:
- Large Horn/Chalice For Dionysus
- A Drinking Horn for each man (may bring own)
- Offerings to Dionysus: musk, civet, frankincense, ivy, grapes, pine, fig, wine, honey, apples, thistle
- Drums

- Torch or ceremonial candle
- Loose clothing, skins and leather garb, cloaks (later to be disrobed)
- Rose petals
- Male pheromone-infused oil

Prior to the celebration, the Circle should have elected one member to represent the role of Dionysus. Typically he should be a special brother chosen for his personal characteristics, prowess, potential ability to portray sexual dramatics and dance skills who preferentially in keeping with tradition may be dark-featured. The group should also select four other members to serve as Satyrs. The group's Priest will lead the proceedings. Four other senior brothers are needed to invoke the corners and one other should be selected as Torch/Candle Bearer for the opening procession.

The celebration starts with a procession which can begin approximately one to one and 1/2 hours (depending on the number of celebrants) before midnight. Those portraying Satyrs beat drums as the circle assembles. All participants gather in the ritual area which should be shaped in a circular fashion. Ideally if the rite can be held outdoors, a circular fire trench may be created. If not, a fire backdrop should be achieved in some way. Celebrants join in the procession lead by the Torch/Candle Bearer while the Satyrs continue to drum. The participants should bring their offerings to Dionysus. When all are gathered around the circle, The drumming quiets and the greeting and offering call from the Priest begins...

Let us open our hearts to the Wild -
Bring thy offerings and objects to be charged with
energy of life to the circle of the great bringer of Ecstasy.
We call to the vine, we call to Earth,
We call to Dionysus to bless us with his presense!

(Drums beat softly as offerings are brought forward)

The first part of the Opening Invocation begins on cue from the Priest

The Priest then recites the "Orphic Hymn For Dionysus" which reads:

"I call upon loud-roaring

and revelling Dionysus,
primeval, double-natured,
thrice-born, Bacchic Lord,
wild, ineffable, secretive,
two-horned and two-shaped.
Ivy-covered, bull-faced,
warlike, howling, pure,
You take flesh, you have feasts,
wrapt in foliage,

decked with grape clusters.
Hearken to my voice, O blessed one,
and with your fine Satyrs breathe on me
in a spirit of perfect agape."

Then the second part of the Invocation Part begins on cue from the Priest:

The Priest says:

The brother who has been selected to portray Dionysus enters the ritual area naked and erect. He should be adorned with a crown of grapes and vine, a purple shoulder cloak and roman-greco style leather sandals on his feet. His body should be oiled in male pheromone-infused oil. The Satyrs enter around him with fanfare bringing each man their drinking horns. After handing each man a horn they will pour wine into them. The Priest comes forward to Dionysus and presents the large, horn chalice with wine to him.

At this call all partake of wine. Then the Priest takes back the Large Horn Chalice after he has drank.

Dionysus then approaches the Center of the circular ritual area and the men respond:

Dionysus takes his place at the center and (potentially surrounded by the fire circle) begins to ritualistically masturbate in what should be a dramatic, erotically choreographed and creative display of overt auto-eroticism intended to spark orgiastic feelings among the brethren. (If you have a circle brother who is a dancer, erotic performer or stripper - this is their chance to shine combining their skills with sexual energy in a venue where there are no restraints). The men, now aroused, disrobe and circle the center. They begin to masturbate lead by Dionysus. They may help each other (touching, stroking) but each man's orgasm should be achieved by his own hand as symbolic of control over his own destiny within the new year.
During this time two Satyrs go around the circle drumming rhythmically and frollicking lustfully while the two others cast rose petals and male pheromone-infused oil on the men of the circle attempting to increase their lust while they masturbate with Dionysus. The climax of the masturbatory circle should be timed as close as possible, to coordinate with the stroke of midnight.

Near 12:00, as Dionysus indicates he is coming close to orgasm, the Priest moves forward with the large horn Calice and the two casting Satyrs return to each man their drinking horns. It is hoped that all or as many of the circle reach orgasm as close to Dionysus' climax and each other's as possible. When Dionysus is ready to orgasm he signals the Priest who then catches his ejaculate in the large horned Chalice. As each man of the Circle reaches climax he too should catch his semen in his drinking horn. All wait until each man has reached orgasm. Then the wine Satyrs come forth and pour wine first in Dionysus Chalice then in each of the men's drinking horns. The Priest lifts the Chalice to Dionysus lips and he partakes of his "seed-wine". The Priest cues the men to raise their horns. He partakes of Dionysus Chalice as each man drinks his "seed-wine" from his own horn.

The drumming Satyrs build the intensity of their beats as Dionysus and the men of the Circle orgasm. The Priest then signals the Baccantae to gather communally around the circle in joyous exhaustion as he concludes the celebration with...

Dionysus retreats away from the circle while biding farewell and blessing the circle and his Satyrs follow...

Celterotics: Ancient Cernunnos Finds Appeal With Male Neo-Celts

Modern men inspired by ancient Celtic ways are increasingly interested in applying the eros of Cernunnos, the ancient Celtic god of lust, fertility and renewal, to their contemporary lives. The appeal may be obvious given the notion that Cernunnic ideals are seen as physically charged and decidedly sexual but advocates claim there is a deeper element to evoking the ‘The Horned One”.

Cernunnicism is male-centric and focuses on men for men in a primarily Celtic context or mythos. Cernunnicism rather than focusing on the concept of polarity in nature, which assumes that expression exists fundamentally between a man and a woman, fosters the idea that strength lies within the communion of men and celebrates the unique magic possible between men. It holds that the real universal essence is that produced by the male.

Cernunnists freely embrace male sexual expression. Eroticism is a part of personal development and is enjoyed instead of shunned as in other beliefs. Sexualism is seen as leading to a holistic spirituality. Practitioners accept sexual mysticism as a key element and seek to continually develop their sexo-spiritual power.

Focusing on what has been called, the ‘Masculine Divine’, Cernunnicism is for men be they straight, bi-sexual or gay. Although the premise has found appeal with some men who identify as gay, the concept is about the male and does not focus on orientation. It concentrates on the core ideas of masculine power and essence leading to sexual and spiritual enhancement…

Siolchara : Bonding Ritual

Síolchara: Celtic Bonding Ritual For Men

Ancient Celts are understood to have performed the "Anamchara", a ritual which ceremonially sealed a strong bond between friends. Anamchara means "soul friend" and it recognized the power of partnership. The 'Síolchara' (or "seed friend") is an enhancement of this ceremony designed to be shared by males. It celebrates the bond between typically two men in a way that proves deep, primal and intimate. The Síolchara is a ritual to express affection, express virility and share the masculine divine. Although it is intended for friends it can also be performed with lovers and life-partners and can be adapted for a group with some modifications.

Items needed:3 candles - all different colors
3 candle holders
1 large Chalice/Glass
2 smaller Chalices/Glasses
Table to serve as Altar
Black or brown leather or suede Altar covering
Small decanter of Wine (recommended wines are Sauvignon Blanc, Sauterne, Chianti)*
Small decanter of Cernunnos Oil (recipe below) or pure Mineral Oil *

(*See Ritual Notes below)

Gather the necessary items. Select three candle colors that when put together will symbolize unity. Each man can choose a color that represents him. The third candle needs to be of a shade that potentially unifies the two others. For instance, one candle may be blue and one red while the third candle will be purple - a unifying combination of the other two. One of the three chalices or glasses should be larger than the other two. The items you use are meant to convey ceremony and bonding. Place all of the items on the leather covered table which serves as the Altar.

The men disrobe and approach the Altar on the side that that their candle is located. It should be situated so that one man is located at the East and the other is located at the West. They greet each other with an embrace and kiss. Each man lights his candle. The third candle remains unlit and sits between the two others. As stated, if one candle is red and one is blue, then the purple candle is the unity candle. Together, the men speak the bonding vow:

We are men,
We are friend,
Be we mate,
Be we lover,
We now mingle our essence and
Are forever brothers...

Each man then picks up his burning candle and together they light the third candle.

Next perform the seeding act. The man located at the East then takes Cernunnos Oil and anoints the penis and testicles of his friend, using it to stroke and prime his mate to erection. If the ingredients of the Cernunnos Oil may cause skin irritation, pure Mineral Oil can be used. The man located at the West then does the same in reciprication to the other. The men directly facing each other begin masturbating - themselves and each other proceeding into a full session with the intention that each man's mounting pleasure will build and urge on the other's. The men may employ whatever special ways they have for self-pleasuring using methods chosen to assure that maximum-level orgasms are achieved and that as much semen as possible will be ejaculated. The men touch, caress and masturbate each other simultaneously to orgasm. Preferably, each man should reach climax as close together as possible (a further unifying aspect). Upon ejaculation, each man's semen is to be captured in the large chalice/glass then when as much of the men's semen is collected, the large chalice/glass is then placed on the Altar.

Next the bond drinking will be done. Pour an amount of the wine into each of the smaller chalices/glasses. Each man will then take one drink from his chalice/glass. They each will then pour what remains from their chalice/glass together into the large chalice/glass thus mixing the drink with their combined semen - again evoking unity. The men then take turns drinking from what may now be called the "Chalice of Unity" until the "seed-wine" is finished and they have consumed all the semen the chalice/glass contained. They then recite together a declaration of unity:

"By this act we are soul-bound
by the seed of each other -
We are Síolchara.
Our flames shine brightly but
burn hotter together than alone.
Because we have partaken of each other
we are now one with the other.
Give us unity, wisdom, strength and
the lifelong love of my brother".

The premise of seed-bonding serves not only to represent the connection between the men but to confirm virility, manly prowess and power between the two friends. The seed of each man strengthens and empowers the other. Through the taking of each others essence, the men become a part of the other. The life-giving power of semen becomes the gift. By sharing it, the men become 'Siolchara'. Each brother's essence becomes a part of his friend's and the bond is whole...

Signposts to Eros: The Inspiration Of Prick

With gratitude we share these images of sexo-spiritual inspiration by and of our brother in erotic practice - Prick. With his support and permission these images had to be included here as they are exquisite representations of the real ethos of Cernunnos Circle. They should serve as inspiration and instruments of arousal to all who enter this place...

"I am a man that strives to live his life simply and humbly. The pursuits that drive and empower me are the same traits we are all born with. The gifts of the senses are our greatest assets. To awaken and hone these birthrights into all consuming experiences to be reveled in is truly a gift of the Gods. Learning and practicing the art of carrying that same energy into my day to day existence has been a gift to myself. Life is delicious if we let ourselves sample the fare. I try to keep my attitude based in spirit. It can be a challenge in our hurry up and wait world, but it is the foundation that all our joy and bliss is built upon. Prayer, meditation, and a daily erotic practice based in Tantra are all part of staying in an open heart space. It has allowed me to experience people, places, and things, as they are when they are in front of me." ~ Prick
